ABOUT US

Little Hoods is a new Company dedicated to bringing fun, activity based games and sporting experiences to primary aged children across the Melbourne metro area, and is run by its founder, Scott Walker.
Littlehoods recognizes that there is a need for Australian children to become more involved in appropriately structured exercise programs outside of the traditional competitive sporting arena, and aim to provide this in a fun, non-threatening environment.
Littlehoods Sessions are designed to get children actively engaged from the start to the end of the session.
Within a session the aim is to build a child’s confidence as they enjoy learning the capabilities of their bodies and work at extending them - without anxiety.

Scott Walker has worked with children for the past 25 years, as a Childcarer in Long-day Care, Coordinator of several Out of School Hours Programs, running Vacation Care Programs for local council, and working as a Sports Teacher for primary aged children.
Scott has a Diploma in Children’s Services and is a Qualified Sports Coach, with a focus on learning through play, and fostering sportsmanship in children.
Scott has two girls who are involved in Netball, Dance, Long Distance running and Volleyball.
Scott was nominated for the Victorian 5 Star Community Coach Award 2007, as part of the Australian Sports Commission Active After-school Communities Program.
The aim of this award is to highlight best practice and outstanding achievement in Coaching.

Although the focus is on bringing archery to children who may not otherwise have an opportunity to engage in this Olympic sport, Little Hoods also offers other games and sports workshops for children, as well as training and consulting services for childcare professionals and teachers.
For more information please go to the School & OSHC Sessions page.

All workshops are designed to be safe, fun and satisfying, and incorporate a flexible delivery method that is inclusive of all participants, regardless of difference in skill and ability from child to child.

Littlehoods Sessions are a place for kids to learn, exercise, foster friendship, develop skills and have fun!
